The Hydration Stack — Reverse Osmosis, In-Line Trace Minerals & Structuring

Faucet Finishes:
What makes The Hydration Stack different

Most under-sink RO removes contaminants and stops there. The Stack removes, restores, and revitalizes.

Reverse osmosis is the most thorough filtration available — and also the most stripping. It pulls contaminants and the trace minerals your body uses for daily homeostasis. Most under-sink RO systems end there. Mineral-empty water flows to your faucet.

The Hydration Stack restores what RO removes — and then revitalizes the water the way mountain springs do. Two stages most under-sink systems skip entirely.

Basic Under-Sink RO

What most systems leave out.

  • No natural remineralization — mineral-empty water flows to your faucet
  • If alkaline drops are offered, they’re synthetic and sodium-based
  • No flow conditioning. Water sits in a holding tank until you draw it
The Hydration Stack

What we add back.

  • 70+ trace minerals from fossilized Okinawan coral, at the natural 2:1 ratio
  • Zero added sodium — pH rises from real mineral content alone
  • Hand-built Austrian vortex chamber, TÜV EU certified — no power, no consumables
01 · Purify

Remove what shouldn’t be there.

Five-stage reverse osmosis takes contaminants down to non-detectable levels — PFAS, lead, fluoride, pharmaceuticals, microplastics.

02 · Restore

Add back what your body needs.

Seventy-plus trace minerals from fossilized Okinawan coral — calcium and magnesium at the natural 2:1 ratio.

03 · Revitalize

Move water the way nature moves it.

Passive vortex flow conditioning, hand-built in Austria. The mechanical flow pattern found in mountain streams.

Component 01
MicroMax 8500 five-stage reverse osmosis system with manifold and 3.2 gallon tank
01 · Purify · MicroMax 8500

Most under-sink filters hit one NSF standard. This one hits five.

Most under-sink filters meet NSF/ANSI 42 — chlorine and taste. The MicroMax 8500 is GoodFor’s centerpiece for clean drinking water, certified to five NSF/ANSI standards including 53 (lead, VOCs) and 401 (pharmaceutical residue, pesticides, microplastics). That’s the certification spread that separates a filter that improves taste from a system that removes what the EPA considers risk.

Five stages: sediment, two carbon stages, the RO membrane (0.0001 microns — fifty-thousand times finer than standard carbon), and a polishing post-filter. Built around a 3.2 gallon storage tank, sized for a four-person household at typical usage, with a 10-year warranty on the tank and valves.

Independent third-party testing through SimpleLab’s TapScore — an EPA-certified water testing laboratory — was run on a real customer install. Post-install report: contaminants reduced to non-detect or near-zero across the panel.

Certified: NSF/ANSI 42·53·58·401·372·WQA Gold Seal

The only natural remineralizing cartridge for reverse osmosis.

GoodFor Sango Coral remineralization cartridge with 340g of fossilized Okinawan coral media
02 · Restore · GoodFor Sango Coral

Most filters take everything out. We add the right things back.

Reverse osmosis removes contaminants — and minerals along with them. RO water alone is clean but mineral-empty. We finish it with seventy-plus trace minerals from fossilized Okinawan Sango coral, in the natural balance your body uses for daily homeostasis.

Fossilized Okinawan coral. Eight-micron particle size.

The coral comes from sustainably sourced deep-water seabeds near Okinawa, Japan — never from living reefs. It’s the same coral that’s been part of the Okinawan diet for generations, in the region with one of the longest documented life expectancies in the world.

Inside the cartridge, the coral is processed to an ultra-fine 8-micron particle size — the size your cells absorb directly. Minerals release into the water in parts-per-million ionic form. Calcium and magnesium emerge at the natural 2:1 ratio. Zero added sodium.

The cartridge is assembled in Carlsbad, California with 340 grams of food-grade Sango coral media — sized for a two-year replacement interval on a typical household.

Two ways to put minerals back into RO water. Only one of them is food.

Synthetic Mineral Drops

What most “alkaline” products use.

  • Sodium bicarbonate raises pH by adding sodium, not minerals
  • One or two minerals, usually calcium and magnesium, isolated
  • Synthetic forms, mineral salt slurry
  • Daily dosing, ongoing cost, plastic bottle waste
  • Taste is flat or chalky
GoodFor Sango Coral

What fossilized Okinawan coral delivers.

  • Natural pH rise from mineral content alone — zero added sodium
  • Seventy-plus minerals at the ratio they occur in coral and ocean
  • Food-grade fossilized coral, ionically released
  • One install — replace every 24 months
  • Taste is round, smooth, and noticeably mineral
Component 03
UMH Pure passive vortex flow conditioning device, hand-built in Austria with gold-plated brass and borosilicate glass
03 · Condition · UMH Pure

The flow pattern of a mountain stream, at your kitchen tap.

Municipal water travels through pressurized straight-line plumbing for miles. The UMH Pure is the last device in the sequence — a passive vortex chamber that runs water through a controlled spiral flow before it reaches your faucet. The same flow geometry water naturally takes in a mountain stream.

Hand-built in Austria from a gold-plated brass housing and handcrafted borosilicate glass vials. No power, no consumables, no replacement — just the geometry of the chamber itself doing the work. Customers describe the result the same way: a lighter, more delicate mineral taste, and water that goes down easier.

Where the research stands.

Water structuring is a growing area of researcher interest. Preliminary studies — primarily in animal models — have observed positive effects, and the underlying physics of vortex flow geometry is well-established in fluid dynamics literature. Human research is emerging. We carry UMH Pure because the device is mechanically passive, certified, and built to last — and because customers consistently describe a noticeable difference in taste and feel after install.

Questions

Everything we’re asked, plainly answered.

What’s actually in the Hydration Stack?

Three components in sequence under your kitchen sink. The MicroMax 8500 is a five-stage reverse osmosis system certified to NSF/ANSI 42, 53, 58, 401, and 372. The GoodFor Sango Coral is a remineralization cartridge containing 340 grams of fossilized Okinawan coral media, releasing 70+ trace minerals at the natural 2:1 calcium-to-magnesium ratio. The UMH Pure is a passive vortex flow conditioning device, hand-built in Austria, TÜV EU certified.

How much does the Hydration Stack cost?

The Hydration Stack starts at $2,499. Price includes the MicroMax 8500 five-stage reverse osmosis system, the GoodFor Sango Coral remineralization cartridge, the UMH Pure vortex flow conditioning device, the faucet in your chosen finish (brushed nickel, chrome, or matte black), nationwide shipping, 1-on-1 install support, a 10-year warranty on the MicroMax tank and valves, and a 60-day water-quality guarantee.

Shop Pay Installments lets customers pay over time at zero interest, from approximately $208 per month. Subscribe & Save is available on replacement filters.

Is the Hydration Stack actually cheaper long-term than my current setup?

A family of 4 piecing together bottled water, a Brita pitcher, and daily electrolyte packets typically spends about $3,840 per year — $1,800 on bottled water, ~$120 on pitcher filters, and ~$1,920 on electrolyte packets like LMNT at $40/month per person.

The Hydration Stack costs $2,499 once, with replacement filters running ~$120 per year after that. The system pays for itself in approximately 8 months versus that full setup, and 14 months versus bottled water alone. After year 5, every glass of remineralized, vortex-finished drinking water costs about $0.04.

Why is the Sango Coral different from other remineralization options?

Most alkaline products raise pH using sodium bicarbonate — that’s added sodium, not minerals. The Sango Coral raises pH naturally through mineral content alone, with zero added sodium. The minerals come from fossilized Okinawan coral, ground to an 8-micron particle size and released into water in ionic form at parts-per-million levels.

Our cartridge contains 340 grams of food-grade Sango coral media, assembled in Carlsbad, California.

What does the UMH Pure actually do? Is the science legit?

The UMH Pure is a passive vortex chamber — water runs through a controlled spiral flow before reaching your faucet, the same flow geometry water naturally takes in a mountain stream. It uses no power, no consumables, and is hand-built in Austria with TÜV EU certification.

The mechanical action — vortex flow geometry — is well-established in fluid dynamics literature. The downstream effects on water itself are a growing area of researcher interest: preliminary studies, primarily in animal models, have observed positive effects associated with structured water, though human research is still emerging. We don’t make physiological health claims based on preliminary research. Customers consistently report a lighter, smoother mineral taste.

Has the system been independently lab tested?

Yes. Beyond the NSF/ANSI certifications on the MicroMax 8500 and the TÜV EU certification on UMH Pure, GoodFor commissioned independent third-party testing through SimpleLab’s TapScore — an EPA-certified water testing laboratory — on a real customer install. Water samples were sent before and after installation. Post-install report: contaminants reduced to non-detect or near-zero across the tested panel.

How does the Hydration Stack compare to other under-sink RO systems?

The Hydration Stack is the only under-sink drinking-water system that combines five NSF-certified reverse osmosis (NSF/ANSI 42, 53, 58, 401, 372), fossilized Okinawan coral remineralization (70+ trace minerals, natural 2:1 calcium-to-magnesium ratio, zero added sodium), and hand-built Austrian vortex flow conditioning.

Most under-sink RO systems hold one or two NSF/ANSI certifications and end at the membrane — they remove contaminants but also remove minerals, leaving mineral-empty water in a holding tank. The Stack adds back what RO removes through natural means, not synthetic alkaline drops or sodium-based pH dosing.

Is install included? How does installation work?

The Hydration Stack ships nationwide with detailed installation instructions and 1-on-1 phone support from our concierge team during install — (833) 488-3489. The system uses quick-connect fittings and no specialty tools, so most installs are straightforward for a homeowner or a local plumber. Concierge follow-up at thirty days.

How often do I replace filters?

The MicroMax 8500 RO filters are replaced every 12–18 months depending on water usage. The Sango Coral cartridge is replaced every 24 months. The UMH Pure has zero consumables — it’s a passive device that never needs replacement. Subscribe & Save is available on the replacement filters.

What’s the warranty?

10-year warranty on the MicroMax 8500 tank and valves. 5-year warranty on the UMH Pure. The Sango Coral cartridge is a consumable, replaced every 24 months.

60-day water-quality guarantee — if your water doesn’t show a clear improvement over your city water within 60 days of install, contact us to arrange a return and full refund. Return shipping is at the customer’s expense; system must be returned in working condition.

Is the Sango Coral mineralized water safe for daily drinking?

Yes. Sango Coral is fossilized coral calcium and magnesium — the same mineral source that’s been part of the Okinawan diet for generations. The cartridge releases 70+ trace minerals at dietary-relevant levels in the 2:1 calcium-to-magnesium ratio your body is built to absorb.

Who manufactures the components of the Hydration Stack?

The Hydration Stack is GoodFor’s bundled drinking-water system. The MicroMax 8500 reverse osmosis system is manufactured by Puronics (Franklin Water Treatment) in Livermore, California. The GoodFor Sango Coral mineralization cartridge is GoodFor’s own branded product, assembled in Carlsbad, California using fossilized Sango coral sustainably sourced from deep-water seabeds near Okinawa, Japan. The UMH Pure vortex flow conditioning device is hand-built in Austria and carries TÜV EU certification.
