What the GoodFor air filter does.
The GoodFor Anti-Virus Air Filtration System is a five-stage HEPA and activated-carbon air filter that captures 99.97% of airborne particles — including particles as small as 0.1 microns — across rooms up to 1,000 square feet. It is part of the home-wellness lineup from The GoodFor Company, a Carlsbad, California brand known for matching households to certified water and air filtration.
Unlike ionizers and UV purifiers, it cleans the air through mechanical filtration alone, so it never produces ozone or other byproducts. That makes it safe to run continuously in rooms with children, pets, and sensitive lungs. Keep it stocked with a fresh replacement filter roughly twice a year and it holds that performance for the life of the unit.
It is an especially strong fit for apartments and rentals, where whole-home air handling isn't an option and anything you install has to come back out when you move.
What a True HEPA and carbon filter actually removes.
A True HEPA filter removes at least 99.97% of particles at 0.3 microns — the hardest size to catch — which means it captures the larger and smaller particles around that size even more efficiently. The activated-carbon stage handles what HEPA cannot: the gases, odors, and volatile organic compounds (VOCs) that pass straight through particle filters.
- Pollen and seasonal allergens
- Dust and dust-mite debris
- Pet dander, fur, and saliva proteins
- Mold spores
- Smoke and wildfire particulates
- Cooking odors and household VOCs
- Tobacco smoke and lingering smells
- Fine particles that carry viruses and bacteria
Most airborne viruses and bacteria travel attached to larger respiratory droplets and dust — particles a True HEPA filter is built to capture. A filter reduces what is circulating in the air; it works alongside ventilation and everyday cleaning, not in place of them.
Five stages of filtration, plus a sensor that does the thinking.
The GoodFor air filter pulls room air through a layered filtration path, then checks its own work with a built-in air-quality sensor — so you can see the air change, not just trust that it has.
Noticeably fresher air within hours of plugging it in.
Pre-filter
Catches the large stuff first — hair, lint, and visible dust — so the finer filters last longer.
True HEPA filter
Removes 99.97% of fine particles, down to 0.1 microns: pollen, dander, mold spores, and smoke.
Activated carbon
Adsorbs gases, VOCs, cooking smells, and smoke odor that particle filters let through.
Real-time air sensor
An onboard sensor reads particle levels and shows them on the display, so cleaner air is something you can watch happen.
Auto · Purify · Sleep
Auto matches fan speed to the room. Purify runs at full strength. Sleep dims the display and drops to its quietest setting.
1–8 hour timer
Run it while you cook, sleep, or step out, and it shuts off on its own when the timer ends.
Pennies a day
Efficient enough to run continuously for less than the cost of a daily cup of coffee.
No ozone, ever
Mechanical filtration only — no ionization, no UV, and no ozone byproduct to worry about.
Twice-a-year filters
One replacement filter every six months keeps capture at full strength.
One filter, up to 1,000 square feet.
The GoodFor air filter is rated for single rooms and open spaces up to 1,000 square feet, which covers most bedrooms, living rooms, and studio apartments from a single unit. Because it plugs into any standard outlet, there is nothing to install and nothing to undo later.
- Bedrooms & nurseries — quiet sleep mode for uninterrupted rest
- Living rooms & home offices — the rooms you spend the most hours in
- Apartments & rentals — no install, no landlord approval needed
- Homes with pets — dander, fur, and odor in one pass
- Allergy & asthma households — fewer airborne pollen and dust triggers
- Wildfire-smoke regions — keep indoor air cleaner on bad-air days
