UMH Delta
What the UMH Delta does
The Delta is the largest UMH device and the one with the highest component count: 10 selected gemstones and crystals including quartz, rose quartz, shungite and tiger eye, 16 supercharged borosilicate glass vials, and EM ceramics, which are effective microorganisms baked into clay, included for their far-infrared properties. The housing is 24 karat gold-plated lead-free brass throughout and the structure is built to phi ratio geometry.
It is also the only UMH device built to handle UV-treated water, through a resonant vial configuration tuned to the UV light frequency spectrum. It is not a filter and carries no NSF certification.
A piece of furniture that structures water
It stands 19.29 inches tall in a 20 by 20 inch footprint and weighs 7.48 lb. Water pours through the top by gravity and is collected below. No plumbing, no power, no consumables. Flow is 4.23 gallons per minute, the highest of the three freestanding devices, so it handles larger volumes in one pour.
It is designed to be displayed. If you want the UMH technology but not a centerpiece, the Alpha does the same job in a 7 inch footprint.
Water that moves the way spring water moves.
Structured water draws more hype than almost anything else in this category, and most of it does the idea no favors. Here is how we actually think about it.
A stream never runs in a straight line. It spirals over every rock and drop on its way down, and a spring is water that has been through thousands of those turns. A pipe pushes water straight, under pressure, for miles. Putting the spiral back in the last few feet before the glass is not a strange idea. It is the ordinary one. Water moving through a vortex behaves differently from water moving in a straight line, and that is the only mechanism a structuring device relies on.
Taste, first and most often: that it tastes like spring water instead of nothing, and that it is noticeably different to drink. Structuring has become the part of the Hydration Stack people mention first when they call back, which is why it has never come out of the Stack. That is what customers report, in their words, and we pass it on as exactly that.
Whether the change lasts long enough, and matters enough, to affect the person drinking the water. Research suggests the mechanism is real. The studies are small and most are in animals, so no health outcome is established and we will not claim one. We would rather say that plainly here than have you find it out later.
That is also why we sell structuring as the last step and never the first. On water that is already filtered and remineralized, it is doing the one thing it is for.

Is this a filter?
No. It reduces no contaminants and carries no NSF/ANSI certification, because it is not a filtration device. If your water needs cleaning, use a filter or a reverse osmosis system first and structure afterwards.
Is structured water scientifically proven?
The mechanism is established fluid dynamics: water moving through a vortex behaves differently from water pushed in a straight line. Whether that difference produces a measurable health outcome in the person drinking it is still being studied, and the research that exists is small and largely in animals. We will not tell you it is settled, because it is not.
Do I need to filter before I structure?
For the result most people are after, yes. The order is filter, then put the minerals back if you are on reverse osmosis, then structure. A structuring device will work on unfiltered city water, but it will not make that water clean.
Why is it the only one for UV-treated water?
It carries a resonant vial configuration tuned to the UV light frequency spectrum. The other UMH devices are not built for UV-treated water.
How is it different from the Alpha?
The Delta has 10 gemstones, 16 vials and EM ceramics against the Alpha's 7 vials and quartz pyramid, and 4.23 gallons per minute against 1.85. It also takes 20 by 20 inches of counter and does not convert to portable.
How do I clean it?
Once or twice a year. Boil a pot of water deep enough to submerge the device, take it off the heat, wait ten minutes, dissolve six tablespoons of baking soda, submerge the device for thirty minutes, then rinse and dry. Reassemble with every washer back in place.
Can I structure anything other than water?
Clear alcohols are fine, rinse straight after. Never use one for juice, milk, carbonated drinks, tea, coffee, or anything with sediment in it.
What is the warranty?
Five years, covering manufacturing defects. The same on every UMH device.
Where is it made?
Hand-built in Austria, in 24 karat gold-plated lead-free brass, and TÜV EU certified. That certification covers how the device is built, not a performance claim about the water.

If your water is already filtered, the UMH Delta is the last thing between the pipe and the glass. If it is not, start with the filter: the Hydration Stack is reverse osmosis, minerals and this same structuring stage in one system.
